2010
Exhibited for the first time during the 2012 Milan's Design Week, 17-22 April @ Nhow Hotel, 35 Via Tortona.
Life is a towel heater made of recycled aluminum designed for central heating, developed in collaboration with “Ad Hoc”, a company today led by the Deltacalor Grup . It ‘a study project that led to a revolutionary prototype that intends to propose a different balance between aesthetics and function. Life is a a powerful radiator, careful about consumption; the holders are positioned in front of the radiating elements therefore, even when there are towels, convective air flow is not altered and not wasting radiator heating capacity.
Life, at the same time, wants to be an iconic object, a basic shapes artwork; are clear, in it, references to the art world, as the rationalist movement “De Stijl” and the Donald Judd’s “Minimalism”, in particular with the His work “Untiteled”, 1970. As in the minimalist artwork, in the Life radiator, the distance between holders respects the sequence of the “Fibonacci series”, as the concept behind this project is the search for a pure aesthetic inspired by nature, from which the project name cames from: “Life”.
